Breakthrough: Breaking the Cycle of Almost
Almost is not a single moment. It is a pattern.
Almost loved. Almost safe. Almost free. Almost enough. Almost qualified. Almost there. If you've lived long enough under that word, you know what it does: not just to your history, but to your expectations, your relationships, your sense of what you're actually allowed to have. Almost doesn't just disappoint you once. It trains you. It teaches your body to brace, your heart to hold good things loosely, your soul to stay near the edge of belonging without ever fully moving in. Over time, almost stops feeling like a wound and starts feeling like wisdom. Like maturity. Like just the way things are.
This series says something different.
Breakthrough: Breaking the Cycle of Almost is a ten-episode audio companion to the book, part testimony, part pastoral teaching, and part honest reckoning with the specific ways that almost-shaped lives get stuck, and with the God who refuses to make peace with that stuckness. Each episode walks through one expression of almost: one territory where the cycle takes hold and builds its particular damage. We begin with Almost Loved and move through Almost Safe, Almost Free, Almost Stable, Almost Enough, Almost Called, Almost Qualified, Almost Joy, and Almost Breakthrough, before arriving at From Almost to Always, where the journey gathers and "almost" stops being a destiny and becomes a place God led you through on the way to here.
These episodes are designed to complement the book, not replace it. The book goes deeper into each chapter's theology, history, and practical application. The podcast sits beside it as something more personal, more spoken, more like a voice in the room with you. Together, they form a complete journey. Apart, each one stands on its own.
The spine of this series is Micah 2:13: "The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out." The God who showed up when His people were penned in, emptied out, and had run out of ways to get themselves free, that same God is the thread running through every episode. He doesn't wait on the other side of healing for you to find your way to Him. He goes before you into the gate. He enters the obstacle. He breaks open what fear has held shut.
This series speaks not from a tidy redemption arc, but from the inside of a cycle that had to be named before it could be broken. It doesn't rush past the hard parts to get to the victory language. It sits inside the ache long enough to give it a name. And then it introduces The Breaker.
Ten episodes. Ten expressions of almost. One God who refuses to call any of it your final address.
If you've ever felt like you were living on the edge of something you were never quite allowed to have: this series is for you.
