When God Takes Your Crutch Away
Some seasons don't end neatly before you're asked to write about them. An honest walk through what happens when God takes away the thing you leaned on most.

Start where you are
Each path begins with the reader, then leads naturally to the book or resource that may meet them there.

Reader reviews
I just finished Faith Like A Leaf and although I'm not religious I found the quick read inspiring. The author had a rough go maybe like you or me but found meaning and hope despite seemingly overwhelming obstacles. I believe you will be better for reading. A testament to the human resolve.
This is a book of wisdom, but not wisdom that is simply granted. It is wisdom that is grown: cultivated, seeded, fed and harvested from circumstances and events beyond human control. This book has pain, need and hope laid bare. It is an honest look at what life brings and an unlikely faith that ensued.
This book has it all in a short read. Trauma, perseverance, resilience and happiness! Chris dives into the trauma he endured which is truly a gut punch but his love and strength in the Lord proves faith can get you through. This book will give you hope. Definitely recommend!
Listen · The Word
The Word is part testimony, part pastoral teaching, and part honest reckoning with the specific ways almost-shaped lives get stuck. The episodes sit beside the book as something more personal, more spoken, more like a voice in the room with you.
Listen to the seriesTen episodes are planned. Seven are available now, and three are forthcoming. One God refuses to call any of it your final address.
From the Journal
Lean On Me
Job loss did not just cost me income. It revealed what I was really leaning on. A raw reflection on faith, identity, and finding God present in the middle of the story.
Read the reflection →Breakthrough
I did not write this to sound strong. I wrote it because I got tired of living in almost, and I needed faith to interrupt the pattern.
Read the reflection →Breakthrough
